Our story

Simple oils, well chosen

A beard sits on skin that wants the same care as the rest of the face. Bristle blends a few lightweight carrier oils — jojoba, argan and sweet almond — with a measured drop of natural scent. Applied each day, the oil coats the hair so it lies softer and less wiry, and the skin beneath stays comfortable through a day of growth. The blend is light enough to absorb quickly and leave no shine, just a groomed, natural finish.

How it's made

The carrier oils — jojoba, argan and sweet almond — are measured and blended in small batches. Each batch gets a touch of natural fragrance (cedar, sandalwood or citrus), is left to settle, and is bottled by hand in amber glass to keep the oils fresh.

How to use it

Shake the bottle, then warm three to five drops between the palms. Work it into the beard from the roots out to the tips, and run a comb or brush through to spread it evenly. Use once a day, after a shower, on a towel-dried beard.

Good to know

Is it for any length of beard?

Yes. Even a short stubble benefits from a little oil on the skin beneath. Longer beards use a few more drops to cover the whole length of the hair.

What does it smell like?

The original has a warm cedar scent, the cedar is smoky and woody, the sandalwood is smooth and creamy, and the citrus is bright and fresh. The unscented has no added fragrance.

How often should I use it?

Once a day, usually after a shower, is enough for most. On a towel-dried beard, work a few drops from the roots out to the tips and spread with a comb or brush.

Will it leave my beard greasy?

No. The blend is chosen to absorb quickly and leave no shine — just a soft, groomed finish. Three to five drops is plenty for a medium beard; use more only if your beard is long and dense.

What is in it?

A blend of light carrier oils — jojoba, argan and sweet almond — with a touch of natural fragrance in the scented versions. The unscented version has no fragrance at all.

What does the oil do?

It coats the beard hair so it lies softer and less wiry, and keeps the skin beneath comfortable through a day of growth. It is a grooming product, not a medicine and not intended to address any skin condition.
